The Story

This mural was a created to record the passage of time, created using the natural humidity of the walls and water to dilute the natural patinas. Over the years, the wall itself needed renovation, and the mural came to the end of its life cycle. These photos capture the remnants of the work, now a portrait of four generations. This artwork stands as a reminder of the beauty in the ephemerality of art and the enduring legacy of family and tradition. Later, I would use the same textures and Pantones from this mural to incorporate into packaging designs, ensuring that the essence of the original artwork continues to inspire

The vision

My vision was to harness the natural occurrences of humidity, moss, water, and other organic elements. Their poetic quality imbued the artwork with a deep sense of nostalgia, capturing the essence of time passing and nature's gentle transformations. I aimed to celebrate the ephemerality of art, using these natural processes to create a work that would evolve over time, mirroring the cyclical nature of life itself. The mural became a testament to the beauty found in impermanence, embodying the enduring legacy of family and tradition through its portrayal of four generations.
